Program Introduction:

In the last decade, the rapid development of digital technologies and the huge amount of data available to organizations has created new opportunities to increase their competitiveness.

However, technology itself is not sufficient to explain all the potential value embedded into a digital transformation since organizational changes are required at both process and cultural level.

In this view, the module will focus on the identification of the key components underpinning a digital transformation initiative, and a possible roadmap that organizations can follow to implement successfully the initiative.

Program Professor Bio:

Gianluca Elia is Associate Professor of Management Science and Engineering at the Department of Engineering for Innovation - University of Salento (Lecce, Italy). More than twenty years of experience in teaching and research concerning digital transformation, technology entrepreneurship, knowledge management, collective intelligence, corporate entrepreneurship. Authors of more than 160 papers, 50 of which published on leading international journals such as Technology Forecasting & Social Change, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Industrial Marketing & Management, Computers in Human Behavior, Business Horizons, Journal of Knowledge Management, Business Strategy and The Environment, Journal of Intellectual Capital.
