School of Management Engages in AACSB's 2024 Asia Pacific Accreditation Conference and Business Accreditation Seminar in Indonesia
From June 4th to 7th, AACSB held its 2024 Asia Pacific Accreditation Conference and Business Accreditation Seminar in Bali, Indonesia. The event drew over 300 representatives from more than 100 institutions globally. Jun QI, Associate Dean and Director of the International Affairs Office of School of Management, JINAN UNIVERSITY, and Weiyuan HUANG, International Accreditation Assistant attended the conference.

The conference featured numerous keynotes and sessions focusing on key developments in business education such as the Assessment of Learning (AoL), societal impact, strategic planning, and mission-driven initiatives, with in-depth discussions on the integration of new technologies like AI. Cutting-edge experiences were shared among various institutions regarding the transformation of business education, the construction of organizational culture, and the classification of faculty.
The School of Management delegation also participated in the Business Accreditation Seminar, led by Geoff PERRY, AACSB’s Executive Vice President for Asia Pacific, Stephanie BRYANT, Executive Vice President for the Americas, and Liyan CHEN, Senior Manager of Accreditation. The seminar utilized immersive case study to discuss the latest accreditation standards of AACSB.

Notably, during a special session for Chinese institutions, Jun QI was invited by AACSB's Regional Head for East Asia, Guodong XU, to share experiences and insights from the accreditation journey of School of Management. As an accreditation mentor, QI also provided suggestions for peer institutions undergoing their first accreditation, earning high praise from attendees.
Jun QI Shared Experience with Peer Institutions
The School of Management, JINAN UNIVERSITY, received its initial AACSB accreditation in 2022 and was the only Chinese institution to be recognized in the 2024 AACSB “Innovations That Inspire” program. Adhering to the philosophy of "Leveraging development with accreditation," the School has internalized accreditation standards as benchmarks for progress, deepened business education reforms and expanded societal impact during continuous improvement. The delegation's participation in the conference allowed for a comprehensive understanding of the latest AACSB accreditation standards and insights into future business school trends, laying a solid foundation for re-accreditation. Additionally, the delegation engaged in extensive exchanges and in-depth discussions with institutions from various regions, absorbing advanced experiences from outstanding domestic and international business schools. This will further promote the branding of the School of Management and amplify its voice on the international stage.
