Associate Dean of School for Business and Society, University of York Visited School of Management
On May 29th, Professor Neil LUNT, Associate Dean of School for Business and Society, University of York , led a delegation to visit School of Management, JINAN UNIVERSITY. Among the delegation were Deputy Director of International Recruitment and Teaching Partnerships Gwion SIMS and Global Partnerships Officer Lingzi COOK. The delegation was received by Jun QI, Associate Dean of SoM-JNU and Director of International Affairs Department, and Mingwei SHE, Deputy Director of EDP Center. Staff from International Affairs Office also joined the meeting.

Jun QI extended a warm welcome to the delegation from School for Business and Society. She provided a detailed introduction to the school's history and distinctive strengths, highlighting that, driven by its mission and vision, the school has been continuously enhancing international cooperation with world-class universities and significantly improving the level of internationalization and the quality of talent cultivation. She further expressed her hope that the international undergraduate program would serve as an opportunity to lay a solid foundation for deeper cooperation between the two institutions.
In response, Neil LUNT expressed his gratitude for the hospitality of SoM-JNU and provided insights into the scale, academic programs, and teaching and research capabilities of University of York. He noted that both institutions share an aligned willingness to cooperate and aspirations to develop, and that he is looking forward to achieving a win-win cooperation through the deepening of friendship. Following this, Gwion SIMS shared information about international programs of University of York, presenting a diverse range of international collaboration schemes, which provided feasible ideas for the two institutions to engage in a variety of exchanges and cooperation.

After in-depth discussions, both parties have reached a preliminary cooperation intention on the international undergraduate program. The next steps will involve accelerating the implementation of the cooperation projects, completing the signing of related agreements, and exploring more diverse cooperation methods in teaching and research. This meeting has further expanded the Management School's global network, providing strong support for cultivating internationally-minded talents and conducting cooperative teaching and research.
