(Primary School in Litang County Thanked Guangzhou Jihai Charity Foundation for Its Charitable Actions)

From December 11^th to 12^th, 2022, Publicity Department of Litang County Party Committee, Communist Youth League of Litang County Committee, New Era Civilization Practice Center of Litang County, Guangzhou Jihai Charity Foundation, Shenzhen Lions Clubs and Mother Tree Crafts Co-op jointly conducted the warm winter public welfare action in Litang, China with the theme of “Youth to the Party, 2022 Smiling Litang”. Five pastoral schools received donations, namely Gemu Township Primary School, Jiaxi Village Primary School of Gemu Township, Heni Township Primary School, Luozigou Primary School, and Kerizewa Primary School. The SoM strongly supported to this activity and received a letter of thanks from the Publicity Department of Litang County Party Committee. In the future, the SoM will continue to move forward in philanthropy.

It is reported that Litang County, with an average altitude of more than 4000 meters and an annual average temperature of 3 ℃, is one of the counties with the highest altitude, the worst climate and the most difficult living conditions in China. However, even under such tough conditions, the activity was warmly supported by Guangzhou's universities and Shenzhen's volunteers from various high schools. According to the statistics, a total of 890 students from  Gemu Township Primary School, Jiaxi Village Primary School of Gemu Township, Heni Township Primary School, Luozigou Primary School, and Kerizewa Primary School benefited from the donation; 890 sets of Skechers down jackets, winter hats, scarves and cotton socks are donated, equivalent to more than CNY 440,000. The volunteers all made their own efforts to this activity, including preliminary preparation, clothing size collection and counting, contacting with charity organizations, transportation and distribution of materials. Finally, they successfully handed over winter clothes to children through mountains and rivers of Litang, delivering their “warm sunshine” in winter to students in remote areas.

Public welfare activities focuses on helping people solve practical difficulties, spreading positive energy, promoting endogenous power, and making every love receive a real response, which is also the requirement of Litang County's civilized practice in the new era. This activity gathered the strength of caring people in the community to help the children in remote schools of Litang pass a warm winter with warm clothing. Winter clothes not only deliver warmth, but also spiritual inspiration and spiritual comfort. Primary students of Litang County felt the deep concern from the Party Committee, government and people with caring hearts through this activity, which greatly encouraged the motivation and confidence of students to grow and become talents. In the future, the SoM will continue to deliver the baton of love, vigorously support the implementation of the “Youth to the Party, 2022 Smiling Litang” Warm Winter Public Welfare Action, and contribute our own strength to the charity donation activity!

 “Warm Winter Action” is a public welfare activity carried out by natives in Litang, youth volunteers from other places, and charity organizations in mainland China, which has lasted for 10 years since its inception. Haijun Kong, as the initiator, has been paying attention to the study and life of Litang children. In her own words, "To warm a child is to warm a family". Ten years passed like a day, and practical actions were taken to fulfill the original intention of Warm Winter Action, which also drove Litang youth to give back to the society.
