School of Management Successfully Held AoL Seminar for Undergraduate and Graduate Programs

With the purpose of achieving the goal of AACSB international accreditation to promote the sustainable development of the school's teaching and further improving the teaching level of the school, the SoM held theAssurance of Learning (AoL) seminar for undergraduate and graduate programson April 25th, 2023. SoMAssistant Dean Jun Qi, Director of the Undergraduate Academic Affairs OfficeChangde Zhu,Director of the Discipline Development and Graduate Affairs OfficeYong Zhang, Director of the Department of MarketingDefeng Yang, Director of the Department of AccountingPingui Rao, Deputy Director of the Department of Business Administration Wenping Ye, and other relevant administrative staff attended the seminar. The meeting was hosted by Director Changde Zhu.

At the beginning, Assistant Dean Jun Qi briefly introduced the evaluation process of AoL, and used the learning objectives of BBA Program as an example to explain in detail how to design evaluation standards, adopt evaluation methods, and calculate results. Next, faculties discussed the learning objectives and the construction of the curriculum map of the BBA, Research Master, and PhD Programs under the guidance of department heads. During the seminar, teachers discussed actively and warmly.


All of the participants agreed that the learning objectives should be related to the features of each program, as well as the mission and vision of the college. What’s more, the design of the curriculum should be as consistent as possible with the learning objectives of the AoL of each program.

Through the discussion and feedback of the seminar, the AoL Working Team collected suggestions for revision of the learning objectives of the three programs, and initially constructed a curriculum map. The curriculum map will continue to be distributed to faculties of various departments for discussion and revision. Overall, theSoM are fully prepared withthe new loop of AoL assessment.
