The Strategic Development Seminar of School of Management Jinan University Successfully Held

In a momentous event aimed at consolidating strategic consensus, uniting the efforts of alumni, and fostering innovative initiatives, the 2023 School of Management, Jinan University Strategic Development Seminar took place on the 11th November at the 520 Conference Room of the Huiquan Building. Over twenty former leaders, prominent alumni, and current faculty leaders convened to delve into the pressing needs of management discipline development and talent cultivation in the contemporary era. Discussions centered around the institutional construction of talent teams, the school's developmental positioning, and the innovation of classical disciplines.


Seminar Scene


In a comprehensive report on the school's strategic overview and future prospects, Jun QI, Assistant Dean and Director of the International Affairs of the School of Management, contextualized recent achievements in the school's internationalization efforts. She outlined four major strategic goals and corresponding measures for the School of Management. Jun QI emphasized that, based on expert opinions from the seminar, the school will focus on refining its distinctive features, enhancing quality, and expanding influence.

The seminar invited guests to deliberate on the school's mission and vision, strategic optimization directions, and high-quality development layout.


The term "talent" resonated throughout the seminar. Jun HU, former President of Jinan University and former Dean of the School of Management, emphasized the efficient construction of a talent team comprising management elites, leaders, and masters. He highlighted the need to explore incentive mechanisms aligned with the school's characteristics to maximize talent innovation.

This conference consolidated multiple consensuses, addressed core concerns of stakeholders, as well as clarified the future development direction and planning of the school, and demonstrated the proactive posture of the School of Management in integrating into the world. The School of Management will summarize experiences, consolidate measures, seize open opportunities, and forge ahead towards the world.
