Delegation from Harvard Center Shanghai Visited School of Management
On the morning of September 12th, a delegation from Harvard Center Shanghai, led by Nancy DAI, Managing Director and Executive Director, visited the School of Management, JINAN UNIVERSITY. The visit was warmly received by Dean Wenjing LI, who led the discussions on further deepening the collaboration between the institutions. Accompanying Nancy DAI were Program Manager Sia ZHOU and Program Coordinator Crystal GU, while the entire international affairs office of the School of Management, JINAN UNIVERSITY, attended the meeting.
Wenjing LI extended a cordial welcome to the delegation, showcasing the historical evolution and unique strengths of JINAN UNIVERSITY as an overseas Chinese university. He emphasized the university's long-standing commitment to business education since business education was one of the first disciplines of JINAN UNIVERSITY as a higher education institution.Wenjing LI highlighted SoM's rich cultural heritage and distinct academic features. He reviewed the history of cooperation with Harvard Business School in areas such as educational resource sharing and faculty training, and expressed admiration for Harvard's excellence in case method teaching, hoping to enhance future collaboration in case development and business education reform.
Nancy DAI thanked Wenjing LI for the warm hospitality and shared her insights as a senior case study expert on the common challenges in developing Chinese cases within a global context. She engaged in a deep discussion with Wenjing LI on the key issues of change and constancy that business institutions face in the rapidly evolving economic and technological landscape.
During the meeting, both institutions exchanged views on innovative teaching methods, the construction of business school characteristics, and interdisciplinary research. SoM reaffirmed its vision to “be the first-class business school in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, globally recognized for excellence in education and research". SoM aims to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with top business schools globally, actively keep pace with the development of the times, accelerate strategic progress in quality enhancement and mainstream integration, and contribute more to business education and academic research.
