Harvard Business Publishing Education Platform Sharing Session Successfully Held
On March 25th, Bess YING, Director of Asia-Pacific Educational Affairs for Harvard Business Publishing, visited School of Management, JINAN UNIVERSITY to host a sharing session on the Harvard Business Publishing Education platform. The event took place in Room 504 of the Huiquan Building and was chaired by Jun QI, Associate Dean and Director of International Affairs at School of Management. Faculty members from various departments who are interested in case-based teaching attended the session and actively participated in the discussions.
During the session, Bess YING addressed common questions that Chinese educators often encounter when using Harvard Business Publishing Education. She provided practical tips for lesson preparation and demonstrated how to effectively utilize the platform's resources. Tailoring her recommendations to the characteristics of students at different academic levels, YING introduced a variety of teaching resources, including short cases, core courses, multimedia courses, and simulations. She also illustrated how these resources can be integrated into different stages of the learning process to enhance knowledge delivery.
In the discussion phase, Bess YING engaged with the faculty in a deeper exploration of the essence of case-based teaching and the appropriate scenario for various types of teaching resources. She provided detailed answers to the teachers' questions regarding case-based teaching methodologies and the platform, addressing each concern with clarity and precision.
This sharing session offered School of Management faculty members a comprehensive pathway to mastering the Harvard Business Publishing Education platform and implementing case-based teaching methods effectively. It provided valuable insights into enhancing contextualized teaching skills, fostering innovative teaching approaches and educational resources.
