Delegation from Queensland University of Technology Visited School of Management
On April 16th, a delegation from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), including Cameron Newton, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law; Gavin Sade, Deputy Dean in the Faculty of Creative Industries, Education, and Social Justice; Amber Wang, International Regional Manager; and Yaqin GUO, Senior Marketing Manager, visited the School of Management, JINAN UNIVERSITY (SoM). The visit was hosted by Jun QI, Associate Dean, with support from Minwei SHE, Associate Director of EDP Center, and other international affairs staff. The meeting focused on reviewing current collaboration progress between the two institutions and exploring potential directions for future cooperation and international exchange.
Jun QI extended a warm welcome to the QUT delegation and highlighted the successful collaboration between the SoM and QUT in the international undergraduate program. She noted that the partnership has been progressing smoothly and expressed enthusiasm for future collaborations in cross-disciplinary talent development and the integration of AI with business education. QI emphasized that SoM is eager to deepen its collaboration with QUT in these cutting-edge fields to foster innovative business talent that meets the demands of a rapidly evolving world.
QUT delegation expressed gratitude for the warm reception. Gavin Sade provided an overview of QUT's strengths, particularly highlighting the university's innovative approaches to talent development. Cameron Newton praised QI's vision for future collaboration, noting the vast potential for both institutions to leverage their advantages and create a more diverse talent development model.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as international undergraduate support systems and teaching support. They reached preliminary agreements on how to enhance academic continuity for students both domestically and internationally. The institutions plan to strengthen cross-platform interaction and collaboration to provide comprehensive support for student academic progression. This visit laid a solid foundation for deeper cooperation in international talent development and promoted School of Management's progress in internationalization.
